The CAM Antisemitism Research Center collects comprehensive antisemitism data from around the world on a constant basis, and publishes a regular feature on the top ten antisemitic incidents that shook Jewish communities globally during the preceding month.
The ten most shocking antisemitic incidents of February 2024 are as follows:
1. CAM Slams Brazilian President Lula’s Comparison of Israel to Nazis as ‘Morally Repugnant’
CAM slammed Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s comments at an African Union summit in which he accused Israel of perpetrating a “genocide” against Palestinian civilians in Gaza, likening the Jewish state’s war against Hamas to the Nazi Holocaust.
“The Brazilian president’s outrageous blood libel is morally repugnant, and we call for an immediately apology and retraction,” said CAM Sacha Roytman. “These comments are merely meant to offend the Jewish people on the one hand while trying to demonstrate his socialist credentials for purely domestic purposes on the other. President Lula should stop using Jewish tragedies to score political points.”
Following President Lula’s comparison of Israel to Hitler, this was the reception he received. We urge @SecBlinken to have demanded a public apology prior to extending a welcome. We call on leaders globally to condemn Lula’s remarks. Spreading antisemitism must lead to… https://t.co/5oloZWKLem

Sad to report that Nazi scum and losers are back in Winter Park, holding their disgusting flags and banner. Working with local officials to see what options we have for accountability. pic.twitter.com/vTuTMu66iY

5. Australian Anti-Israel Campaigners Publish ‘Jew List’
Australian Jewish leaders have condemned anti-Israel activists for publishing a list of Jews. On Feb. 7, the names and personal details of 600 people from the creative industries who had joined a private WhatsApp group were published by pro-Palestine campaigners.
In a spreadsheet shared widely online, they listed the names of Australian Jews alongside links to their social media accounts and a photo gallery with pictures of 100 people.

Protestors blocked the street in front of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC, on Feb. 1, claiming to protest Israel’s war with Hamas in Gaza and U.S. strikes against the Houthis in Yemen.
In response, CAM CEO Sacha Roytman stated:
“These demonstrators, in choosing to stage their protest in front of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, an area of the city with no ties to the U.S. military, Israel, Yemen, or the Palestinian people, chose to make their protest about Jews. The museum tells the story of the six million Jews who were murdered by the Nazis, it has nothing to do with Israel or the U.S. military. In choosing this location, instead of the White House, the Pentagon, or the Israeli Embassy, the protestors showed their true colors. This is antisemitism, plain and simple.”

8. Jordanian School Textbook Said to Paint October 7 Atrocities in Positive Light
Jordan has inserted the Hamas October 7th massacre into its high school civics curriculum, painting the terror group’s atrocities in a positive light, KAN News reported. According to the report, there is a passage in a chapter on the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in a 10th-grade civics textbook that refers to the “Al-Aqsa Flood” — the Hamas name for the October 7th attack.
9. ‘Jewish Lobby’ Has Its ‘Tentacles’ in Places of Power, Claims Australian MP
Australian Member of Parliament Jenny Leong, who represents the Green Party, was filmed claiming that it was important to call out the “Jewish lobby and Zionist lobby” for trying to put its “tentacles” into areas of power, according to footage shared online and multiple media reports.
The elected official, whose X bio includes “don’t be a racist,” implied that a Jewish and Zionist lobby was attempting to infiltrate community action groups for non-altruistic reasons.
