Shots Fired Outside Jewish Girls Elementary School in Toronto, None Injured

Two men opened fire on a North York Jewish girl’s school, damaging the building but, according to the Toronto Police Service, causing no injuries. Canadian police are looking for public aid in the search for the men who fled the scene of the Bais Chaya Mushka Elementary School shooting in a dark-colored vehicle.

Protesters Target Auschwitz ‘March Of The Living’ Event

Anti-Israel demonstrators sparked outrage after staging a protest near the grounds of Auschwitz in Poland. Sirens wailed as protestors displayed a banner reading “Stop Genocide” at groups taking part in the annual “March of the Living” event marking Yom HaShoah, Israel’s national Holocaust remembrance day.

Germany: Police Arrest Two Men Planning Synagogue Knife Attack

German police arrested two men who were accused of allegedly planning a knife attack at a synagogue in the southwestern city of Heidelberg. The suspects, an 18-year-old and 24-year-old, allegedly discussed “the killing of one or more visitors in the attack on the synagogue followed by death as martyrs, whereby the two persons wanted to be shot to death by police,” authorities said in a statement.

Knife-Wielding Algerian Man Who Set Fire to Rouen Synagogue Shot Dead by French Police

French police shot dead a knife-wielding Algerian man who set fire to a synagogue and threatened police in the city of Rouen. “An armed man somehow climbed up the synagogue and threw an object, a sort of Molotov cocktail, into the main praying room,” said Mayor Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol, adding that nobody else was harmed in the shocked city in the northwestern Normandy region. Police found the man on the synagogue roof with an iron bar and kitchen knife, shooting him when he defied orders to stop.

United Kingdom: Three Accused of Plot to Attack Jewish Community

Three men have appeared in court charged with terrorism offenses over an alleged plan for a gun attack targeting the Jewish community in England. The court heard Walid Saadaoui and Amar Hussein had intended to target “the Jewish community in the North West of England and members of both law enforcement and military.” The hearing was told the pair were accused of plotting an attack designed to cause “multiple fatalities using automatic weapons,” Prosecutor Rebecca Waller said the plot had been inspired by the Islamic State group.
