This Week From the CAM Partner Network: The Fight Goes On
In the week following the Amnesty International report that singled out and defamed the Jewish state with the “apartheid” libel, organizations and individuals around the world continued their work combating antisemitism on the ground and fighting the spread of Jew-hatred in mainstream discourse.
New reports also revealed the disturbing scope of the antisemitism in the nation of France and on college campuses worldwide.

JCC Krakow — For International Holocaust Remembrance Day, JCC Krakow hosts Holocaust survivors for a virtual discussion on their inspirational stories of survival during the war and life after the Holocaust. Watch the full recording:
World Jewish Congress — President Ronald S. Lauder announces the establishment of a Security Advisory Council (SAC) to coordinate better with business and legal leaders as antisemitism continues to threaten Jewish communities around the world.

World Jewish Congress — President Ronald S. Lauder offers to provide free copies of “Maus” in the Tennessee school district that banned the book. He also rebuked Whoopi Goldberg for her claim that the Holocaust was “not about race.”

Campaigns to Support
HonestReporting — Following its tweet to Encyclopedia Britannica over an inaccurate definition of antisemitism, which previous included discrimination against “other Semitic peoples,” Britannica updated the definition to specifically refer to Jews as a religious or racial group. The historical reference for the term, originating in Germany prior to World War II, was also included.

JewBelong — Following neo-Nazi demonstrations in Orlando, Florida, last weekend, the JewBelong billboard campaign to #EndJewHate has expanded to include the Sunshine State. Boston, New York, Las Vegas, and San Francisco have already seen the pink billboards calling for an end of antisemitism pop up.

Jewish On Campus — According to the latest Campus Antisemitism Annual Report produced by Jewish On Campus, nearly 75% of antisemitic incidents that occurred in colleges and universities took place in-person, despite a majority of courses taking place online due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
