Sacha Roytman, a 40-year-old married father of four, has a degree in communication from Reichman University and studied a master in Political Marketing at the Reichman University School of Government, Diplomacy, and Strategy.
Over the course of his career as a social entrepreneur, Sacha has dedicated himself to securing and nurturing Jewish life worldwide, collaborating with a wide range of government officials, religious and community leaders, cultural influencers, sports executives, educators, artists, business leaders, and tech companies.
Sacha, who was born, raised, and educated in Belgium, was deeply influenced by his Holocaust survivor grandparents, whose stories of resilience and heroism against all odds deeply inspired him. Sacha also personally experienced antisemitism growing up in Brussels, which shaped his worldview and led him to the realization that the “Never Again” vow requires personal responsibility and active social involvement.
Sacha made aliyah to Israel in 2004, and served as an immigrant soldier in the IDF’s Nahal Reconnaissance Battalion and the Communications Division in YITAM (Independent Technological Unit) program, participating in the Second Lebanon War.
Later, while still a student, Sacha founded one of Israel’s first interactive advertising agencies. Shortly afterward, he was invited join the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit and establish and command the New Media Division. Over the next four and a half years, he was responsible for developing the unit’s communications strategy, branding the IDF on social media, running advocacy activities with international organizations and blogger communities worldwide, preparing emergency New Media plans, and overseeing campaign production and content. His work is considered groundbreaking, earning recognition as a central figure in developing the army’s digital warfare capabilities, including by CNN in 2012.
In 2016, Sacha relocated to New York City to lead the digital and public advocacy efforts of the World Jewish Congress (WJC). He introduced innovative approaches to global media campaigns, compelling major international corporations like Meta (Facebook), Google, and X (formerly Twitter) to address antisemitism. He spearheaded an educational flagship project about the Holocaust in collaboration with UNESCO and created the #WeRemember global Holocaust remembrance campaign, which reached approximately 2 billion people, rapidly becoming the world’s largest educational campaign of its kind.
In 2019, Sacha helped found the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM), which has since grown into an international organization with offices and dozens of employees across the United States, Israel, Europe, South America, and Australia. Working with mayors and heads of state, technology companies, law enforcement agencies, and leading influencers, CAM builds coalitions that turn policy commitments into concrete action, strengthen platform accountability, and mobilize grassroots communities. The movement has emerged as a leading force in the global fight against antisemitism.
Throughout his professional and personal life, Sacha has devised creative solutions, rallying individuals and organizations from diverse fields to join his efforts. In his current role, amid unprecedented levels of antisemitism, Sacha pursues an asymmetric approach, drawing on technology, innovation, and diplomatic outreach to create broad influence across vast audiences. These extraordinary achievements reflect Sacha’s outlook, deftly merging business entrepreneurship practices with social endeavors, adopting “business world” platforms and integrating them into social organizations and processes.
