Shannon Seban

Shannon Seban is national secretary for fighting antisemitism and racism within the French political party Les Républicains. She is also a former city council member in Rosny-sous-Bois, France (2020-2026), where she was in charge of promoting the French concept of “laïcité” (“secularism”) and combating discrimination.

Shannon was born and raised in Seine-Saint-Denis to immigrant parents from a modest background. She holds a master’s degree in management and law and a master’s degree in European public affairs. Shannon is an expert on the functioning of Brussels institutions and the European political ecosystem. She is a staunch believer in European unity, and she has worked on pro-Europe initiatives at European institutions and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Shannon worked for Stéphane Séjourné at the European Parliament and she ran in the last European elections with Valérie Hayer. She has also served as a key adviser to French ministers, including former French Minister for Economy and Finance Bruno Le Maire.

Shannon is now a recognized figure in France and in the media for her advocacy and her commitment to promoting dialogue and peace between religions, often working with interfaith delegations including imams, rabbis, and priests. Her work has also expanded beyond France, with speaking appearances at international conferences about how to best combat hate.

In May 2025, Shannon published her first book, French, Jewish, and So What?, in which she recounts the antisemitic attacks she was targeted with from the far right in 2023 (“Your Jewish nose!”) and later from the far left in June 2024 (“Get out, you dirty Zionist!”). In the book, she also reflects on her daily fight against antisemitism in all its forms.
