Sharona Nazarian is Mayor of Beverly Hills, California, and a member of CAM’s Mayors Advisory Board. The first Iranian Jewish American woman to serve as mayor, she has led efforts to promote sustainability, civic engagement, and community well-being.
A longtime Beverly Hills resident, Nazarian previously served as a Public Works commissioner and launched initiatives supporting youth leadership and environmental responsibility.
Nazarian has always been vocal about antisemitism and her “Never Again Is Now” initiative will include multiple events throughout the year such as speaker series and book discussions.
Nazarian holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Southern California. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Multicultural Psychology from Alliant International University. She lives in Beverly Hills with her husband Daniel, former Chairperson of the City’s Health and Safety Commission, and is the proud mother of three sons.
