At least 75 anti-Israel events are scheduled worldwide for Wednesday, three years to the day after the October 7th Hamas massacre in Israel.

They are part of 262 events planned across 37 countries between October 1 and October 14, according to Israel’s Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism.

The heaviest concentration is expected on the weekend after October 7. Of the 262 total, 87 are classified as medium or high risk.

Across the full two weeks, the United States leads with 45 events, followed by Spain with 40, Australia with 21, Britain with 19, and Italy with 16. Germany and Canada have 14 each, France has 10 and the Netherlands has eight. Four of Canada’s events are rated high risk, double the number in Greece, Italy, the United States, or Australia.

Forty-five events are planned near an embassy, consulate or other property tied to Israel, 30 of them within 2.5 kilometers.

A Jerusalem Post analysis of the ministry’s data pointed to the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) as an apparent hub linking demonstrations across North America. PYM is behind events in Los Angeles, New York, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto, all five classified as high risk. It is also associated with eight others.

Israeli research cited by the Jerusalem Post links PYM to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a terrorist organization. PYM has been seen at earlier rallies with PFLP-affiliated figures and with Samidoun.

In Britain, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) is behind several planned protests, including a high-risk event at Victoria Embankment Gardens on October 10.

A UK government review of political violence and disruption cites allegations that PSC has backed Hamas, and records that two of its former leaders met senior Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in 2012. The review also says PSC has endorsed armed resistance as a Palestinian right and opposed Britain’s move to ban Hamas as a whole.
