A CAM en Español delegation recently visited San Diego, California, as part of an inaugural outreach campaign to Hispanic Americans.
The delegation included CAM Director of Hispanic Affairs Shay Salamon and Catalan journalist and Chair of the CAM Advisory Board for Latin America Pilar Rahola, and came on the heels of a two-day Mexico tour and the fourth-annual Latin American Forum Against Antisemitism in Costa Rica.
While in San Diego, Salamon and Rahola participated in a series of activities organized by the Ken Jewish Community.
The main event was held in cooperation with the Beth Eliyahu synagogue and Am Israel Jai organization at the San Diego Jewish Academy, with more than 300 community members in attendance.
At the gathering, Salamon led a discussion with Rahola in which she offered her insights on global antisemitism trends and outlined CAM’s regional activities across the Americas.
The San Diego visit also included meetings with local non-Jewish female leaders, as well as sit-downs with other community figures and stakeholders.
