The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) today announced an expansion of its Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) with the appointment of a dedicated Arabic-language analyst with native-level fluency, establishing a permanent monitoring capacity for antisemitism in Arabic.
The analyst will systematically track, document, and expose antisemitic content and activity across the Arabic-speaking world and within Arabic-language communities in Western nations, covering online content, antisemitic incidents on the ground, and public statements by political leaders, religious clergy, and other influential figures.
Arabic is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, yet antisemitic content in Arabic remains one of the least monitored and least reported areas of the global antisemitism landscape. Extremist clerics, state-aligned media outlets, and ideological movements produce a constant stream of antisemitic incitement in Arabic that rarely reaches the attention of Western governments, platforms, or the public, precisely because it is published in a language most monitoring bodies do not cover.
“Antisemitism does not respect borders or languages, and neither can the effort to expose it,” said Sacha Roytman, CEO of the Combat Antisemitism Movement. “For too long, antisemitic incitement in Arabic has operated in a blind spot. Statements that would trigger immediate condemnation if made in English circulate freely, reaching millions, including audiences in Europe and North America. This new capacity closes that gap. We will document it, translate it, and bring it into the light.”
The Arabic-language monitoring will cover three core areas:
- Antisemitic incidents. Documentation of antisemitic incidents connected to Arabic-language incitement, tracked and classified under ARC’s established incident methodology.
- Online content and media. Antisemitic content circulating on social media platforms, satellite television, news outlets, and messaging channels in Arabic, including material produced in the Middle East and North Africa and material produced by Arabic-language outlets and influencers based in Western countries.
- Statements by public figures. Antisemitic statements by political leaders, government officials, religious clergy, and other influential public figures in the Arabic-speaking world, translated and placed on the public record so they can no longer hide behind the language barrier.
The Arabic-language monitoring will operate under ARC’s established classification methodology, applying the same rigorous standards used in its previous investigations, including its recent reports exposing networks of AI-generated personas spreading antisemitic tropes across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
The analyst leading this work brings perfect Arabic fluency and deep regional expertise. For security reasons, the identity of this staff member will remain confidential. The nature of this work, which involves publicly exposing extremist figures, preachers, and the networks that amplify them, presents genuine risks, and CAM will not compromise the safety of its personnel.
The new capacity will significantly increase the volume of antisemitism from the Arab world that is exposed to international attention. ARC will publish documented incidents of antisemitism from Arabic-speaking countries that currently go unreported outside the region, name political leaders, officials, and clergy who promote or endorse antisemitic ideologies, and expose the media outlets, movements, and networks that give them a platform. Translations of key statements and content will be published so that governments, journalists, and the public can see exactly what is being said in Arabic, in the original words of those saying it.
“The Muslim Brotherhood built a global ideological machine, and antisemitism is at its core,” Roytman added. “It starts in Arabic-speaking countries, in the sermons, the satellite channels, and the online platforms, and it travels with the language into Europe, North America, and beyond. For decades this ideology has spread with almost no scrutiny because it operates in a language the West does not monitor. That ends now. We will follow it from its source to every community it reaches, and we will expose it.”
