Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) President of U.S. Affairs Alyza D. Lewin issued the following statement on Wednesday, welcoming the announcement by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of sanctions targeting violent far-left terrorist networks, including Palestine Action and Masar Badil:
“We welcome the Trump administration’s commitment and resolve to disrupting the financial and operational networks tied to violent far-left terrorist groups. Recognizing and confronting these threats are essential to protecting U.S. national security and keeping all Americans, including the Jewish community, safe. We thank President Trump, Treasury Secretary Bessent, and Secretary of State Rubio for their leadership and for prioritizing this critical issue.”
“America’s youth are increasingly being indoctrinated to openly express support for terror organizations and ideologies that undermine the freedoms and principles upon which America was founded. To the extent domestic organizations engaged in such destabilizing efforts support or are affiliated with foreign terror organizations, those relationships must be exposed and addressed.”
“Today’s announcement is yet another important step the administration has taken to counter foreign terrorist groups and ensure that any affiliated entities in the U.S. comply with American law.”
