A bookshop in London’s Westminster borough that faced scrutiny last month for selling Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf is now stocking a work that brands Jews as evil and presents the fabricated Protocols of the Elders of Zion as fact, The Jewish Chronicle reported on Thursday.
Aafaq Bookstore, located near West Central London Synagogue, is selling So That We Do Not Forget: Jewish Crimes – Zionist Resentment, an Arabic-language book dedicated to “every martyr whose blood was shed on the land of Palestine, Jerusalem, and Al Aqsa.”
The opening chapter states that Jews “committed great sins and possess evil qualities, thus deserving the wrath of [God].” The passage also declares that “God’s victory for the believers over the Jews is inevitable.”
The volume devotes numerous pages to excerpts from the Protocols, a Russian Empire-era forgery that falsely alleged Jews were plotting to dominate governments, economies, and society. Rather than exposing it as fraudulent, the author endorsed its claims, writing that “the more I delve into their details, the more I become convinced that they contain much of what is happening around us.”
The discovery follows an earlier controversy at the same shop. Weeks ago, Aafaw was found selling Arabic-language copies of Mein Kampf with Hitler performing a Nazi salute on the cover.
The store pulled it from its shelves, saying the book’s presence “should not be interpreted as an endorsement of its content or ideology.”
The UK-based Community Security Trust (CST) said the latest discovery warranted an investigation by police and Westminster Council. A spokesperson called it “appalling that this London bookshop is once again selling books steeped in antisemitic hatred,” adding that “this apparent pattern raises serious questions.”
Responding to The Jewish Chronicle, Aafaq said its shelves included “many Jewish authors” and titles representing “often opposing” viewpoints. It said stock decisions followed “the market, reader interest and demand” rather than personal beliefs.
“Aafaq unequivocally rejects antisemitism, racism, religious hatred and incitement to violence,” the store claimed.
