An attacker holding what appeared to be a knife chased a yeshiva student to his doorstep in Brooklyn early Wednesday, while yelling “Heil f***ing Hitler!”
Security camera footage published by the Crown Heights Shmira Patrol (CHSP) captured the confrontation at roughly 2:33 a.m. The recording shows the assailant chasing the victim along a residential block and onto the stoop of a house.

“Now I know where you live,” he shouted before invoking Hitler. He kept hurling racial and antisemitic slurs as the student headed for the doorway.
According to COLlive, a local news site covering the neighborhood, the suspect also slashed bicycle tires at the address before fleeing.
CHSP members and police found him nearby, the outlet said, but he took off again, vaulting fences across private yards to evade capture.
Volunteers kept canvassing the area, and he was soon located a second time. Officers from the NYPD’s 77th Precinct then took him into custody, and the department’s Hate Crimes Division is investigating, COLlive reported.
