Amid a massive wave of antisemitism targeting Jews around the world, the City Council of Cambridge, Massachusetts, will vote on Tuesday on a pro-BDS resolution calling for divestment from Hewlett-Packard and other companies that do business with Israel.
During a seven-hour online City Council meeting on Monday, BDS supporters used antisemitic rhetoric to advocate for the resolution, POR 2021 #109. There were also Jewish and pro-Israel activists who spoke out against it.
The resolution accuses Hewlett-Packard of providing Israel “that are used to biometrically track Palestinians, deny them access to water and healthcare in the Gaza Strip, and imprison them without access to fair trial.”
“Cambridge cannot be silent as Palestinians are torn from their homes, tear gassed in their holy mosques during Ramadan, and killed by airstrikes at the hands of the Israeli government,” it adds.
These vile lies must not go unanswered! Stand for the truth and demand Cambridge City Council members reject this dangerous BDS resolution.
