On April 7th, three members of a British-Israeli family (Maya, Rina and Lucy Dee) and an Italian tourist (Alesandro Parini) were murdered in a series of Palestinian terror attacks across Israel.
In response to these horrific attacks, Ms. Francesca Albanese, the “UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories,” outrageously claimed that Israel does not have a right to self-defense against such Palestinian terror, thereby directly endorsing violence against Israeli civilians, including children.
These statements are just the latest in Ms. Albanese’s relentless, systematic and blind bias against Israel, which includes using age-old antisemitic tropes such as accusing “the Jewish lobby” of controlling the United States and Europe, repeatedly dismissing Israeli security concerns, and comparing Israelis to Nazis and supporting the racist BDS movement.
Ms. Albanese’s actions represent a direct and flagrant ongoing violation of the UN Code of Conduct for Special Rapporteurs, which requires rapporteurs to act with “impartiality and objectivity” at all times. Enough is enough! How much longer can the UN tolerate this?
PLEASE SIGN THIS INTERNATIONAL LEGAL FORUM (ILF) PETITION calling on the UN Secretary-General to ensure that the UN lives up to its own rules and standards by firing Ms. Albanese and sending a clear message that antisemitism and endorsement of violence at the UN will not be tolerated.
