The position is an exciting opportunity to grow a groundbreaking coalition, drive impactful projects, and forge lasting partnerships that bridge communities across the United States.

Position Overview:

The African-American Alliance Manager will spearhead the development and execution of programs and initiatives designed to build and nurture partnerships with African American organizations and community leaders. — Expand Jewish American Heritage Month (JAHM) Awareness in Black communities: Develop and implement strategies to ensure that JAHM serves as an educational platform in Black and African American communities. Build partnerships with leaders and institutions to emphasize the historical ties and shared struggles between Jewish and African American communities.

— Manage the HBCU Contest for Black Student Engagement: Design and execute a contest in partnership with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to engage Black students in exploring the intersections of Jewish and African American history. Facilitate academic and artistic submissions that highlight the legacy of partnership and resilience between these communities.

3. Community Outreach & Engagement:

— Create and execute outreach strategies that engage African American communities through targeted events, workshops, and public forums.

— Facilitate collaborative events that educate participants on antisemitism and promote mutual understanding, drawing inspiration from the historic alliances between Jewish and Black communities.

4. Content Creation & Advocacy:

— Collaborate with CAM’s communications team to develop engaging content, media campaigns, and digital storytelling that highlights coalition efforts, the fight against antisemitism, and the enduring bond between Jewish and Black communities.

— Serve as a key spokesperson and advocate for partnerships, ensuring clear and consistent messaging across all platforms on Black/Jewish relations.

Qualifications:

— Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in public policy, community development,
African American studies, Jewish studies, or a related field; a minimum of 3 years’ experience in
partnership building, coalition development, or program management within the nonprofit or advocacy
