Join the Solidarity Sabbath 2021 hosted by the Lantos Foundation in partnership with CAM on Thursday May, 20th, at 12:30 PM EDT.
Since 2015, the Lantos Foundation For Human Rights & Justice has led the annual Solidarity Sabbath initiative to bring people together to express support for international religious freedom, to highlight the plight of persecuted religions and faith traditions around the world, and to advocate for greater solidarity across faith communities.
This year, the Lantos Foundation is partnering with CAM to host a virtual screening of a powerful new documentary Passage to Sweden and a conversation about what we can learn from the actions of Scandinavian countries, and the heroic individuals from those countries during the Holocaust. The example that Scandinavian countries set, through their humanistic treatment and protection of Jewish neighbors, fellow citizens, and refugees in the face of Nazi persecution, stands as a lasting beacon of compassion and decency. It is also a powerful reminder of the lifesaving impact such solidarity can have even under the most horrifying circumstances.
