A petition for the removal of Louis Farrakhan’s from Twitter was recently launched by Sabina K. Sabina is a Jewish immigrant from Ukraine whose family came to the United States as refugees, in the hopes of a better life.

On July 4, 2020 Louis Farrakhan made an anti-Semitic speech spreading insidious ideas about the Jewish people – calling Jews “satan” and inciting violence. He also delegitimized Jewish identity by calling Jews “fake” and “so-called Jews”. His anti-Semitic and dangerous sentiment aside, Farrakhan’s anger when talking about Jews shows that his words come from a place of  deep hatred.

History shows that you cannot lift one people up by fueling them with hatred toward another group. In the long-term this  leads to devastating events such as wars , genocides and every other injustice that threatens peace and human beings collectively.

Currently, Louis Farrakhan has close to 350k followers on Twitter. Allowing him this platform to spew anti-Semitism is negligent at a time when hate crimes against Jews are on the rise. As social media is so often weaponized we call on Jack Dorsey to not let Twitter be an accomplice.

Let’s work together to remove Louis Farrakhan’s account from Twitter. Please sign the petition and share this very important message.
