Event Details

The 2025 Australian Mayors Summit Against Antisemitism, hosted by the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) and Never Again Is Now (NAIN), and chaired by the Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate, will bring together more than 100 city leaders, municipal policymakers, and community advocates from across Australia in a collective effort to secure and nurture Jewish life in the country at a moment of grave emergency, with levels of antisemitism soaring to unprecedented highs.

The proliferation of antisemitism is an urgent and growing threat that endangers not only the Jewish community, but also the fundamental values of undergirding Australia’s democratic society. Mayors have a unique ability to proactively confront Jew-hatred at the local level, where it is most acutely felt, and municipal leadership on this issue sets a powerful example that can be emulated both at home and globally.

In recent years, CAM has built an international network of mayors united by the common mission of tackle the world’s oldest hatred together, with regional summits held in the United States, Germany, Greece, and Latin America, and now it is Australia’s turn to join this impactful initiative.

This landmark forum will serve as a platform for mayors to share best practices, receive practical tools, forge new collaborative partnerships, devise innovative cities-oriented strategies and action plans, and launch joint projects to counter antisemitism and affect lasting social change for the better.
