Event Details

After the release of CAM’s 2023 IHRA Adoption Report, which revealed a concerning lack of IHRA adoption in universities, and the release of CAM’s 2023 Data Report, which noted that 2023 saw (for the first time) a near-parity in far-left and far-right antisemitic incidents, this virtual event will emphasize the drastic action necessary to respond to this post-October 7th outpouring of far-left antisemitic incidents, in addition to the need to advocate for the adoption and implementation of the IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism on American college campuses.

The event will convene top representatives from international institutions and communities that have embraced the IHRA definition to underscore the critical urgency of implementing IHRA standards in academic settings and foster collaborative action and tangible solutions for universities.

Furthermore, academics and activists who have warned of the dire threat posed by the rise of ideological movements on the political left that advanced an anti-Zionist, anti-Israel modern manifestation of antisemitism will speak to the present situation and best practices for responding to this troubling development.
