The latest cohort of winners of the Combat Antisemitism Innovation Lab will be honored in an online closing ceremony on Tuesday, August 29, at 10 AM ET.
The event will be broadcast on Zoom here.
The winners, announced last month, are: Heath Sloane, Zoé Tara Zeigherman, Robert Tepper, and Lievnath Faber.
All winners received allocations of seed funding to further develop and implement their projects.
The goal of the Innovation Lab is meant to foster game-changing initiatives and fresh solutions that effectively address the challenge of rising antisemitism globally.
CAM will follow up with the winners in six months to get progress reports on their work. We congratulate all the winners and wish them the best of luck in their inspiring efforts to help defeat the world’s oldest hatred!
The details of the chosen proposals follow —
Heath Sloane: “Combating Chinese Antisemitism Through Multimedia” — The project aims to create a permanent digital resource that raises awareness of antisemitism and equips advocates with resources to fight antisemitism within Chinese-speaking communities.
Zoé Tara Zeigherman: “Zionism & Anti-Zionism: The History of Two Opposing Ideas” — The project aims to produce a stylish YouTube video series featuring Dr. Einat Wilf that makes Zionism trendy and fills the gap in knowledge of Jewish history on college campuses.
Robert Tepper: “The Jewish Question: A One-Man Play in a Paris Hotel Room With Theodor Herzl” — The project aims to devise a one-man stage play illuminating Zionist visionary Theodor Herzl’s ten-day stay at the Hôtel de Castille in Paris, France, in 1895, during which he wrote his famous pamphlet The Jewish State.
Lievnath Faber: “The Jewish Manifesto” — The project aims to formulate, in a collaborative manner among more than 300 Dutch Jews, an interactive and multidimensional on/offline manifesto that is a declaration of the dreams, desires, fears, and demands of the Jewish community in the Netherlands.
