Event Details

Every year, as we observe Yom HaShoah, Israel’s Holocaust Remembrance Day, we commit to never forgetting the atrocities of the Holocaust and the stories of those who survived. As time moves forward, the number of survivors able to share their firsthand experiences dwindles. It is our responsibility to ensure their stories, their struggles are never forgotten.

The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) and Zikaron BaSalon (“Memory in the Living Room”) have joined forces to facilitate the hosting of Holocaust survivors by individuals for memory events to remember the past.

This year for Yom HaShoah (May 5-6, 2024), we encourage you to transform your living room into a place of remembrance and education. Gather friends and family to listen to the poignant stories of Holocaust survivors. Through their experiences, we forge a personal connection with the events that have profoundly influenced our world, ensuring that their legacies are preserved and passed on to future generations.

Our teams have engaged with hundreds of Holocaust survivors who are eager to share their testimonies. This Yom HaShoah, invite them into your home and listen to their compelling stories.

The Holocaust is not just a chapter in history; it is a stark reminder of the consequences of silence and indifference in the face of injustice. By hosting a “Memory in the Living Room” event, you are not only honoring the memory of those who suffered but also taking a stand against hatred and bigotry in all its forms. It’s a powerful way to educate, enlighten, and inspire your community with real-life stories of resilience and courage.
