Rights, Wrongs, and Distortions: Examining Human Rights Stances on Israel

Event Details

In the aftermath of the atrocities committed against Israelis on October 7th, a troubling pattern has emerged from the international human rights community.

Major human rights NGOs and leaders in the human rights community have largely failed to condemn the gross human rights violations perpetrated by Hamas against innocent Israeli men, women, and children. Not only that, but they have engaged in a sustained campaign to delegitimize the State of Israel and its defensive military operation, accusing it of committing “genocide.” In doing so they have continued their abuse of international legal definitions and frameworks to validate anti-Israel bias.

The silence of the human rights communities, in the face of the blatant human rights violations perpetrated by Hamas, calls for action. The demonization of Israel’s defensive actions, using a distorted misrepresentation of international law, while the crimes of Hamas are rationalized and validated, requires a forceful rebuke.

This 60-minute briefing — taking place on Tuesday, January 23, at 10 AM ET, will bring together experts in the field of human rights and international law to shine a light on the glaring anti-Israel prejudice of human rights organizations and activists.
