The late Molly Picon.

The late Molly Picon was an American actress of stage, screen, radio and television, as well as a lyricist and dramatic storyteller.

She began her career in Yiddish theater and film, rising to a star, before transitioning into character roles in English-language productions. She is most widely known for her role as Yente the Matchmaker in the 1971 musical film Fiddler on the Roof. Special guests will include Picon Specialist Cantor Lynn Torgove and Sculptor of the Picon plaque Eugene Daub.

The 2024 Jewish American Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony — being held online on Sunday, November 3, at 1PM ET — is co-sponsored by the Jewish American Hall of Fame, American Jewish Historical Society, and Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM).
