GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT

THIS WEEK'S GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT

This week, we continued to monitor antisemitism around the world while advocating for more actions to be made.

Mezuzahs Torn From Toronto Retirement Home
In a despicable act of antisemitic vandalism, an assailant tore down mezuzahs from Jewish seniors’ doorways in a retirement facility in the North York district of Toronto.
To show these seniors they are surrounded by care, not hostility, CAM launched the #MezuzahChallenge, urging Jewish social media users across the globe to post their mezuzahs.
Other incidents that the Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM documented this week include:
  • France: Authorities are prosecuting a 42-year-old nanny from Algeria accused of attempting to poison a Jewish family, including the children she cared for.
  • Canada: A website created to identify Canadian citizens who served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) posted a list of Jewish institutions in the Toronto area connected to those individuals.
  • United States: High school students in San Jose formed a swastika on a football field alongside an Adolf Hitler quote.
