Today, the Trump administration cut $400 million in federal funding for Columbia University in response to the school’s failure to address antisemitism on campus.

The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) released the following statement from Director of Public Policy Eliana Goodman:

“Inaction has consequences. We thank President Trump for taking the correct and decisive action to cut federal funds to Columbia University due to its utter failure to protect Jewish students, faculty, and staff on it campus. Columbia has had years to do this on its own, and now it has reached a reckoning where it must decide what is more important, allowing antisemitism to run rampant or receiving the federal funds it depends on. This should serve as a warning to other colleges and universities as well, to protect Jews or pay a dear price.”
