Coalition Spotlight: How Will You Begin the New Calendar Year?
Believe it or not, 2023 will soon arrive. We will mark one year since the outbreak of war in Ukraine and three years since the onset of the pandemic. Nonetheless, the strides taken this year in the realm of bringing peace to communities worldwide and of persisting in raising awareness for the need to confront antisemitism continues to inspire people worldwide.
Here is a sampling of how the coalition has made a difference this week as well as how the coalition plans to begin the New Year:
Spotlight
JCC Krakow: In a memorable four-day experience, featuring a monumental bike ride from the gates of Birkenau to the JCC in Krakow, participants are offered the chance to immerse themselves in Krakow’s Jewish past, present, and future while raising money to support the resurgence of Jewish life in Poland. The registration form has opened for the 2023 Ride for the Living, join in the Ride this summer!

March of the Living: In celebration of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of MOTL, a special Gala will be held on January 10 in Miami, Florida, and you are invited! The program will include a special tribute to Rav Yisrael Meir Lau and will honor Former Israeli Ambassador to the United States, Ambassador Ron and Rhoda Dermer.

Partner Campaigns
ORT America: This year, ORT turned to Ukraine and focused on assisting Ukrainian refugees and immigrants to Israel by providing families essential needs while taking measures to keep them safe and continuing their children’s education. Help bridge the gap between aptitude and opportunity with ORT.

Philos Project: In February of 2015, ISIS-affiliated militants brutally beheaded 21 men on a beach in Libya–20 of those men were Egyptian Coptic Christians, martyred for their faith in Christ. On a trip to Egypt in 2019, the Philos Project was privileged to meet with the families of these Coptic martyrs, to hear their stories and learn how we can support them. This community of heroic Christians communicated their one wish: to one day visit Jerusalem.
