Join the Demand for European Parliament to Withdraw Support for Concert by Antisemitic Rapper
The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) needs your help NOW!
On Wednesday, June 17, the European Parliament will host an anti-Israel event in Strasbourg featuring French rapper Médine, a figure who has repeatedly faced accusations of antisemitism.
No European institution should provide support, legitimacy, or public resources to individuals associated with antisemitic rhetoric.
Together with our partners across Europe, CAM will deliver a petition to European Parliament President Roberta Metsola calling for full transparency regarding the use of public funds and for the withdrawal of any European Parliament support for this event.
We have only a short time to make our voices heard.
Read and sign the petition HERE.
We are calling on European Parliament President Roberta Metsola to:
- Clarify how the Parliament’s logo was authorized for this event;
- Withdraw any implication of institutional support or financing;
- Reaffirm that antisemitism has no place in events associated with the European Parliament; and
- Review procedures to prevent similar situations in the future.
Please take a moment to sign the petition and share it with your friends, colleagues, and family.
Thank you for your support and for helping us ensure that Europe’s institutions remain steadfast in the fight against antisemitism!
The full text of the petition follows:
Addressed to Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, and Members of the European Parliament
We, the undersigned, call on the European Parliament to immediately withdraw any institutional support, logo, or funding association from the “Justice pour la Palestine” meeting-concert scheduled for 17 June 2026 in Strasbourg, which features French rapper Médine (Médine Zaouiche).
Allowing the EU Parliament’s logo and the claim “Financed by the European Parliament” to appear on promotional material for this event directly contradicts the Parliament’s stated commitment to fighting antisemitism. This is not a matter of political opinion — it is a matter of documented fact.
The Evidence
Médine’s antisemitic record is extensive and well-documented. The incidents below are not isolated controversies — they form a clear pattern condemned by Jewish organizations, historians, and politicians across Europe.
Holocaust mockery (2023)
Médine publicly tweeted a deliberate pun calling Jewish essayist Rachel Khan — granddaughter of Holocaust survivors — “resKHANpée”. This was a clear and widely condemned mockery of the Holocaust.
The “Quenelle” antisemitic salute (2014)
Médine posted photographs of himself performing the “quenelle” gesture — popularized by convicted antisemite Dieudonné and widely recognized as an antisemitic salute.
Ongoing association with antisemitic figures
He has attended events with and expressed support for figures widely accused of antisemitism and Holocaust denial, such as Kémi Séba.
The presence of the European Parliament’s brand on this event sends a devastating signal to Jewish communities across Europe — that their institutions are willing to platform those who mock them.
We therefore demand:
— Immediate public clarification from President Metsola on how the official European Parliament logo was authorized for this event.
— Withdrawal of the European Parliament logo and any implication of institutional support or financing.
— A clear statement that individuals with documented antisemitic records have no place in events associated with the European Parliament.
— A review of guidelines to prevent future platforming of speakers who promote or trivialize antisemitism.
