Israel is slowly emerging from a national lockdown. Even as the transition back to normal continue, it’s still too early to say that the pandemic is over. The risk of a second wave of infection looms over Israel. This uncertainty means that our partner United Hatzalah’s national network of volunteers must continue to be equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other essential medical supplies, like oxygen, to ensure their safety and ability to respond to lifesaving emergencies.
The return to a daily routine means that our National Humanitarian Hotline has been integrated back to our central dispatch. During its operation, the hotline responded to nearly 30,000 calls helping the elderly and infirm ensuring that Israel’s most vulnerable citizens had everything they need.
United Hatazalah’s community of 6,000+ highly trained volunteer medics, continue to play a key role across Israel, at no charge. But this is only possible with your support.
