The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) issued the following statement on Wednesday after the defeat of Congresswoman Cori Bush by challenger Wesley Bell in the Missouri Democratic Primary:
“The Missouri Democratic Primary result proved that Representative Bush’s failure to unequivocally condemn Hamas following the October 7th massacre in Israel and her repeated use of rhetoric echoing antisemitic tropes were anathema to mainstream American voters. Missourians made their stance on this clear — and we urge elected officials and candidates, regardless of party affiliation, to firmly reject and denounce such rhetoric in all electoral contests.”
