The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) exposed on Sunday a rally in Casablanca’s Sraghna Square where demonstrators glorified terrorism and openly expressed support for Hamas.
At the protest, former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar — the October 7th massacre mastermind who was killed by Israeli troops in Gaza in 2024 — was hailed as a “martyr of the Ummah.”
There were also calls for “resistance” — a euphemism for terrorist violence– and banners demanding the severance of Morocco’s relations with the Jewish state.

The “Youth Against Normalization” account that shared the footage of the rally noticed CAM’s post, and replied, “On our page, we provide you with everything that upsets you, God willing.”
An accompanying slide identified CAM CEO Sacha Roytman and highlighted his past service in the Israel Defense Forces. It also noted CAM’s international network of partner organizations.

CAM answered with a greeting in Arabic, “Welcome.”
Morocco and Israel established diplomatic relations in 2020, as part of the broader U.S.-brokered Abraham Accords that also included the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Sudan.
Following the addition of a dedicated Arabic-language analyst this summer, CAM’s Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) began an in-depth examination of antisemitism across the Middle East and North Africa.
