The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) participated on Tuesday in a meeting of the Brazil-Israel Dialogue on Antisemitism attended by government officials and diplomats from both countries, as well as institutional and organizational officials and Brazilian Jewish communal leaders.
CAM was represented at the one-day virtual gathering by CEO Sacha Roytman Dratwa and Director of Hispanic Outreach Shay Salamon.
Roytman Dratwa spoke on the topic of “Avenues for Brazilian-Israeli Cooperation on Fighting Antisemitism and Racism.”
“Brazil is home to the second-largest Jewish community in the Latin America, and it is an important focus point for our coalition-building activities,” he said. “We look forward to continued collaboration with Brazilian partners to promote the values of interfaith tolerance, equality, and diversity in the country and across the region in the years ahead.”
Additional topics on the forum’s agenda included online hate speech and Holocaust education and remembrance, among others.
