Online Manifesto Attributed to Suspected Buffalo Supermarket Shooter Vilifies and Urges Violence Against Jews

An online manifesto attributed to Payton Gendron — the 18-year-old white man suspected of killing ten people on Saturday in a mass shooting at a supermarket in a predominantly Black neighborhood of Buffalo, New York — contains a slew of hateful antisemitic rhetoric vilifying Jews and calling for violence against them.

In the 180-page document believed to have been uploaded by Gendron to the internet shortly before Saturday’s attack, he said his goal was to “spread awareness to my fellow whites about the real problems the West is facing” and “encourage further attacks that will eventually start the war that will save the Western world.”

Referring to Jews, Gendron — a believer in the racist and antisemitic “Great Replacement” conspiracy theory — wrote, “The real war I’m advocating for is the gentiles vs the Jews. We outnumber them 100x, and they are not strong by themselves. But by their Jewish ways, they turn us against each other. When you realize this you will know that the Jews are the biggest problem the Western world has ever had.”

“They must be called out and killed, if they are lucky they will be exiled,” he added. “We can not show any sympathy towards them again.”

Gendron — who was arrested by police at the scene of the shooting and has been charged with first-degree murder, also wrote, “Are you an anti-semite? YES!! I wish all JEWS to HELL! Go back to hell where you came from DEMON! But in reality, a Jew confined to Judea where he can’t spread his people or beliefs is of no concern to me. It’s important to note that with proper connection to the internet, that is impossible.”

The perpetrator of the October 2018 Pittsburgh synagogue massacre in which 11 Jews were slain, Robert Bowers, was motivated by a similar white supremacist ideology rooted in antisemitism and racism.
