To mark the first birthday of Kfir Bibas, the youngest Israeli hostage held by Hamas, a digital video filmed in New York City’s Washington Square Park was published on Thursday to draw attention to the ongoing plight of the Bibas family.
Kfir was brutally kidnapped with his mother Shiri, father Yarden, and four-year old brother Ariel from their Nir Oz home by Hamas terrorists on October 7th, and he has now spent more than a quarter of his short life in captivity in the Gaza Strip.
The video — which gained more than one million views within just a few hours of being uploaded online — features hundreds of orange balloons being released in front of the Washington Arch from an art installation centered around an orange pacifier with Kfir’s name and age written on it.
Inside the arch, a banner with Kfir’s image and the words “Kidnapped by Hamas” and “No baby deserves to celebrate his first birthday in captivity” is seen.
