From producing educational videos, appearing on the news, hosting events, to publishing articles, the CAM coalition partners have taken to multiple platforms in their work to support the Jewish people and stop Jew-hatred. With the summer coming to a close, partner organizations are wrapping up their projects and launching new projects for the fall.

Here is a sampling of how CAM partners made a difference this week:

Spotlight

Institute for Black Solidarity with Israel (IBSI): On August 1st, IBSI released its first video in a new educational series, titled “B.A.S.I.C. Black Americans to Support Israel Committee, 1975.” The video describes how the organization “B.A.S.I.C.” was established and how the organization fought back against the idea that “Zionism is racism.”

Upcoming Event

Zioness Movement: Are you interested in learning more about mental health and Judaism? Join the digital event “Inherited Trauma and the Contemporary Jewish Experience” with social worker Mastaneh Moghadam, founder of Battae (Israel’s first Ethiopian culture center) Ashager Araro, and psychotherapist Brandon Srot on August 22nd at 6:30 pm ET.

Partner Achievements

The AMCHA Initiative: On July 29th, Jewish Journal featured Initiative Director Tammi Rossman-Benjamin in an exclusive interview. During their conversation, Rossman-Benjamin speaks about how Ethnic Studies courses developed by Liberated, and approved by the local school board, could cause harm to Jewish students due to its deep anti-Israel angle.

The International Legal Forum (ILF): On August 2nd, News Week published an op-ed by the CEO of The International Legal Forum, Arsen Ostrovsky. In his published op-ed, Ostrovsky covers antisemitic comments made by members of the Commission of Inquiry against Israel, mainly made by Commissioner Miloon Kothari. Ostrovsky explains that past comments made by Commissioner Kothari go against the UN rule that “Members should, in all cases, have a proven record of independence and impartiality.”
