This Week From CAM’s Partners: Hatred of Israel Begets More Hatred, Not Peace

The modus operandi of anti-Israel activists is to disguise their antisemitic hatred of the world’s only Jewish state as “civil political discourse.” Disallowing a student group its support for Israel, promoting a disproportionate number of resolutions targeting Israel at the United Nations, and banning kosher caterers from a university because they are “pro-Israel” are all manifestations of antisemitism.

B’nai Brith Canada — Following a University of Toronto student union’s decision to ban kosher caterers because they are “pro-Israel,” B’nai Brith Canada CEO Michael Mostyn calls on the school to take action against antisemitism on campus.

Events This Past Week

B’nai B’rith International — B’nai B’rith International CEO Dan Mariaschin participated in a webinar about how European Union funding to the Palestinian Authority and Palestinian NGOs feeds into the “pay-to-slay” payments that incentivizes the murder Israeli citizens and international visitors to Israel.

Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Research and Analysis (CAMERA) — Dr. Jonah Cohen, CAMERA’s communications director, discussed how to speak about Israel in social and professional settings, and how to handle antisemitism that might arise during those conversations.

Christian Friends of Yad Vashem — As part of the “Life, Hatred and Hope” series, co-sponsored by CAM, Rabbi Moshe Cohn, Head of the Jewish World Section, Yad Vashem International School for Holocaust Studies in Jerusalem, spoke on the need for more Holocaust education as the number of survivors of the Nazi genocide dwindles.
