Iranian regime supportersĀ set fire to U.S. and Israeli at a demonstration on Wednesday outside the former U.S. Embassy in Tehran, celebrating the 47th anniversary of the start of the 1979 hostage crisis.

Chants at the rally included “Death to America,” and participants carried banners reading, “We will kill Trump.”

Combat Antisemitism Movement CEO Sacha Roytman posted on X on Thursday:

“47 years ago yesterday, Iranian Islamists stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, taking 66 Americans hostage. 52 were held for 444 days. Last night, Tehran marked the anniversary by burning a giant banner depicting Trump, Vance, Witkoff and Netanyahu, as crowds chanted ‘Death to America.’ And somehow, some American leaders are blaming Israel for their election defeat. In Israel, we don’t burn American flags or blame America for every problem we face. For 47 years, Iran’s regime has made its hatred of America crystal clear. How absurd that some in Washington seem more comfortable blaming America’s ally than confronting America’s enemy.”
